FTR Interrogator is a complete digital interview room solution designed specifically for investigators and other law enforcement officials to use during the questioning of suspects, victims and witnesses. The solution offers users a multitude of tools to facilitate activities above-and-beyond simply recording. In addition to capturing an audio/video recording of the interview, it also enables them to playback, annotate, save and manage those recordings in a simple and efficient manner.

For maximum flexibility, FTR Interrogator is available in two configurations - either with FTR’s software recorder (FTR Interrogator Plus) or without (FTR Interrogator) - and includes the following items to accommodate the individual configuration chosen:

FTR Interrogator Features

  • Record digital audio & video with the push of a single button
  • Automatically imprint the time, date & location of that interview on the recording; each frame is imprinted with a unique watermark to protect against allegations of tampering
  • Replicate the recording to a secure network location as it occurs or archive it to optical media at the end for storage
  • Tag each recording with appropriate identifying information such as Case Number, Interviewee Name & Interviewer Name
  • Have your partner index or take notes that are linked to specific points in the recording while you focus on the interview itself. Notes can be entered using pre-configured shortcut keys
  • Search & retrieve pre-recorded content based on any number of criteria – Case Number, Interviewer Name, Interviewee Name etc – from your desk
  • While reviewing, jump directly to specific points of interest in a long interview from the notes
    Import any field recordings & also tag those with identifying information
  • Share your recordings and notes via email, CD or file transfer as desired
  • Convert your interview recordings for playback on a DVD Player if necessary
  • Have a colleague or supervisor view the live interview from their office
  • Make the transcript-creation process easier & faster for your transcribers, while generating more accurate transcripts
